My wife and children live in Minnesota where we moved from Berkeley. I am still obliged to spend a lot of time in Berkeley and I tear up every time I drive through Zachary's Corner. I think of your pain, and imagine how awful it would be to lose one of my children. So, I'm thinking of you today. Happy Thanksgiving from Minnesota.

Just wanted to let you guys know that hardly a day goes by that I don't think of Zachary. I have a picture of him posted on the refrigerator in the cooking room. He is in the front of the line acting out the story " The Giant Turnip" he was Grandfather, which he played with gusto. His pal Ophelia is behind him. There is a big Altar dedicated to him outside my door as well. He is loved and missed.

My daughter Zoe still talks about Zachary a lot. They were together in Ms Gee's class at Le Conte. He was such a wonderful and special boy. I just wanted you to know that there is a lot of people around who wont forget him.

I never had the pleasure of knowing your son. However, I wanted you to know that every single morning, I speak to Zachary on my way to work. I remind him of how much his family misses him and how much he is loved. I sometimes share with him what object or type of flower is currently on display. In doing so, it causes me to come to a complete stop (not pause) something I use to do when I reached the stop sign. I just want you to know your son's corner touches my heart. I wish I could hug you.
